IR 438 Use of Force in International Law

The course examines the manner in which international law regulates the use of force among States and non-State actors (jus ad bellum). By studying the law within its strategic context, the course aims to equip students with detailed and critical understanding of the legal regime governing the use of force, its limitations and the challenges of contemporary warfare.
