IR 338 Politics of International Economy

The aim of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to International Political Economy (IPE) as a field of study. The course focuses on recent developments and current trends in the world political economy, various theoretical IPE-perspectives, as well as more specific topics such as international monetary affairs, global finance, foreign debt, international trade, global production, foreign direct investment, transnational corporations, and development. Credit units: 3 ECTS Credit units: 5.
