Introduction to industrial engineering. Analysis of product and process design together with material selection. Concepts and functions in the design, improvement, and analysis of man - machine systems mainly in the context of a manufacturing environment. Time study, work measurement, material handling systems, and layout design. A term project on simulating manufacturing systems. Laboratory use of traditional manufacturing processes and CAD software.
