CS 452 Systems Analysis and Design

Software systems never exist in isolation. Therefore analysis, design, implementation and deployment has to be planned taking into account the technical and social system that a software will fit in. This includes integration of computer technologies (networks, operating systems, third party software, etc) as well as organizational aspects (structure, decision making, organizational culture, sociological aspects of technology adoption, etc). This course therefore introduces the concepts of systems engineering, with adequate discussion into socio-technical systems. Credit units: 3 ECTS Credit units: 6.
