Wave packets and uncertainty; the postulates of quantum mechanics; eigenfunctions and eigenvalues; simple problems in one dimension; general structure of wave mechanics; operator methods in quantum mechanics; harmonic oscillator; path integral formulation of quantum mechanics; systems of many degrees of freedom; symmetry; rotational invariance and angular momentum; hydrogen atom.

MATH 242 and PHYS 212 and PHYS 242.
