PSYC 446 Psychological Well-being at Work

This course introduces the student to the main advances of this relatively new field, which explore the occupational well-being aspect of working in organizations. What makes a psychologically safe organization? What are good strategies in dealing with the occupational well-being in the workplace? How to create psychological resilience ? How to measure well-being? How to increase employee engagement by supporting occupational well-being ? These are the kinds of questions that this course introduces. Therefore, the course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to address occupational health and well-being by teaching the science of well-being, evidence-based approaches, the theoretical frameworks for workplace health and well-being programs and evaluating worldwide case studies.
