PSYC 425 Selected Topics in Neurobiological Psychology
|
The main goal of this course is to provide students with a biological framework within which some of the "hard problems" or "key issues" of modern cognitive psychology can be discussed in a comparative way. More specifically, this course presents a holistic perspective by bridging the gap between the cognitive processes of humans and non-human organisms with respect to some of the interesting topics in the philosophy of mind. Parallels will be drawn, and when necessary, elaborate the distinctions between human and non-human minds for each conceptual topic.
