LAUD 422 Processing Urban Design Competitions

The conceptual and discursive background of national and international urban design competitions from the past to the present will be discussed. Along with the competition processes, there will be discussions on how this process is described from the perspective of both the employer and the competitors. Designers who participated in urban design competitions and received awards will be invited to present their projects and processes. The course aims at equipping students of architecture, urban design and landscape architecture with necessary skills to excel in urban design competitions.
Credit units: 3 ECTS Credit units: 5.
