FA 171 Introduction to Art, Design and Culture I

This undergraduate core course examines a diverse range of approaches to visual culture. Through lectures, class discussions and audio-visual media, this course introduces students to key theories and concepts on art, design and architecture. During the course, the students will develop an understanding of historical, social and political knowledge that regulate the production and consumption of visual culture. The students will be evaluated based on class participation, assignments, quizzes, oral presentation, a midterm and a final exam.
Credit units: 3 ECTS Credit units: 5.
