ARCH 316 Programming in Architecture
|
This course explores the role of computation in the conception and representation of geometry. Participants will develop, analyze and critique algorithmic approaches to digital drawing and modeling utilizing Python Rhinoscript library. This library allows Rhinoceros -3D graphics and computer-aided design (CAD) modeling software- to be scripted with text-based coding. Scripting in this manner can (i) Automate analog processes, (ii) Reveals vast form finding potential.
