THR 431 Textual Interpretation and Analysis III

A survey of some diverse ways of analyzing scripts for dramatic production. The course aims to define different roles and different tools, and aims to choose from a veritable smorgasbord of methods. It is based on
theatrical interpretation and realization from Realism to Avant-garde. The course explores critical methods
based on psychoanalysis, cognitive science, Marxism, the various feminisms, and historicism.
