This course covers Switching, Routing and Wireless Essentials related topics. The covered topics include the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network. Students learn how to configure and secure a router, wireless home router and a switch for basic functionality. Additionally, various network security concepts are studied together with real life scenarios and device configurations.
Credit units: 4 ECTS Credit units: 6.5, Prerequisite:
CTIS 261 and CTIS 310.
