FRP 103 Analytical Reading and Writing Strategies I

This courses aims to develop analytical reading and writing skills in French. It equips the students with the fundamental skills to understand and write a text. Numerous examples of printed woks from journals, reviews, articles will be discussed in class. After developing techniques of understanding and narration such implicit summarization of texts, paraphrasing, other comprehension and writing assignments will be given. FRP 103 is for the beginner level, FRP 203 is for the intermediate level. FRP 203 is also an approach to read and write academic French texts in the aim of understanding and producing translations in different research areas.
