EMBA 545 Foundations of Financial Management II

Participants of this course will develop a basic understanding of the financial management issues and problems in business organizations. The course covers the role and functioning of the capital and money markets as a device for the allocation of resources, the channeling of investable funds, and reallocation of risk, Finally, the course involves a basic introduction to financial mathematics and how financial securities are priced. Topics covered include interest rates, basic financial instruments, stock and bond pricing, concepts of return and risk and how they affect the managerial decision making process.
