MBA 672 Leadership and Negotiation for International Managers

This course first aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills for recognizing leadership patterns and developing competencies and attitudes that will enhance their own competitiveness in the corporate arena and contribute to developing their personal managerial styles. Additionally, it is designed to familiarize them with a key leadership skill in the global business environment: cross-cultural negotiations. For negotiation skills, the course addresses one-to-one, multiparty, cross-border, government, mediation and alternate conflict resolution approaches. It combines management theory and practical tools used by managers to enable learners carve a leading role for their organizations - whether commercial enterprises or not-for-profit entities - in the global environment, taking into consideration the impact of cultural diversity and the increasing importance of the emerging markets on drawing and implementing international strategies successfully.
