ETE 504 Literature for Young Learners

The course focuses on literary works that address young learners, using a wide variety of literary genres. Fictional texts written for young people will be studied, ranging from tales and short stories to young adult novels, with an emphasis on twentieth century fiction. Participants will learn how to use the texts in the school classroom, and how to relate them to the interests of school students, as well as how to analyze texts and teach literary concepts and devices.
Credit units: 3 ECTS Credit units: 5.
