PHIL 505 Embodied Cognition

Based on a selection of both historical and recent texts, this course examines advances in the 4E (Embodied, Enactive, Embedded, Extended) Cognitive Science and Philosophy of Mind. Topics include: Merleau-Ponty's philosophy of perception, Gibson's ecological psychology, embodied cognition, the extended mind hypothesis, Enactivism, and embodied intersubjectivity.
