ME 519 Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos

Covers the modern aspects of dynamical systems, especially nonlinear systems and the chaos. Phase space representation of dynamical systems, Bifurcations, Dynamics of 1D and 2D systems, and Limit Cycles are covered. Coupled Oscillators, Synchronization, Network Dynamics and Disease Spread will be studied as relevant applications. Finally, topics on chaos are covered which includes the Lorenz Equation, 1D maps, Fractals and Strange Attractors.
