ME 438 Advanced Heat Transfer

A comprehensive study of conduction, convection, and radiation heat transfer in engineering systems. Conduction topics include multidimensional steady and transient analysis, finned surfaces, and shape factors. Convection covers boundary layers, internal and external flows, and developing flow in ducts for both laminar and turbulent regimes. Radiation topics include fundamental laws, directional and spectral property variations, view factors, and radiative exchange between surfaces.
