PHYS 371 Numerical Methods in Physics

Solutions to linear systems of equations; roots of polynomials and other nonlinear functions; statistical applications; determinants, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors, solutions to differential equations; applications of FFT; utilization of scientific software packages. (Emphasis will be placed on physical applications.)

MATH 242 and PHYS 212 and PHYS 242.
