PHYS 117 Basic Physics: Mechanics

The course aims to present the basic concepts and laws of mechanics at the level where the relevant mathematics laws not require a-priory knowledge of calculus. The topics studied include: vectors; translational and rotational kinematics and dynamics of particles and systems; work and energy; collisions; harmonic oscillations.
