HIST 202 History of Turkish Republic II

The second part of this course focuses on the political/diplomatic history of the early Republic, Ataturk's reforms and principles of statecraft; Turkey between two world wars; World War II and Ankara's active neutrality; transition to multi-party democracy; the Korean War and membership in NATO; domestic and foreign policies from 1946 to 1980.
