The aim of the course is to introduce students to the main concepts, dilemmas, controversies and conflicts, as experienced in both historical and modern society, in light of the international communication system. International communications will be studied in terms of the political, economic and cultural relations between nation states. It is also an aim to provide a broad understanding of the role of the media in international communication and international relations. Students will be required to discuss current political events and news during each lecture. Students' participation in class and seminar discussions is expected and will be considered in the final course grades.
Credit units: 3 ECTS Credit units: 6.
