Systems engineering concepts, tools and standards. Systems engineering process including some applications. Requirements engineering discipline with systems approach including definitions, types, phases and tools. Requirements engineering applications with systems modeling and UML/SysML examples. System architectures including patterns and frameworks, system and subsystem design. System verification and validation together with test, integration, acceptance and maintenance phases. Modeling and simulation in system approach. Systems engineering management issues including planning, risk management, quality and configuration management. Some applications and examples for the actual technologies including AI, big data, IoT, smart cities, etc.
