Introduction to basic microeconomic concepts. What is microeconomics all about? Economists' approach to current microeconomics issues at the individual household and firm level. Government's micro policies in providing incentive for production, consumption, and technology choice. Current debates on firm behavior, ``new economy'', and issues of privatization and efficient use of resources. Market organizations, welfare and the firm objectives.
