MATH 105 Introduction to Calculus I

Cartesian plane, graphs of equations, lines, functions. Limits, continuity. Derivative, differentiation rules, chain rule, velocity and marginals. Sign of the first and second derivatives, curve sketching, extrema and optimization problems. Indefinite integral, definite integral, fundamental theorem of calculus, area between two curves, volumes of solids or revolution. Exponential and logarithmic functions, exponential growth and decay.
Credit units: 4 ECTS Credit units: 7.
